Add more detailed data around temporary staffing and agency costs
The Temporary Staffing compartment contains detailed metrics relating to a providers use of temporary resources – predominantly bank or agency staff. The use of such staff is an area of great sensitivity and as such a decision has been made to implement a number of additional measures for this compartment.
One such measure is to deactivate this compartment for all new users and make this available only by request. If you would like to be provided with access to the Temporary Staffing compartment you must contact the NHS Improvement agency team through email@example.com. If the agency team are content to grant you access to the data they will inform the Model Hospital team who will enable this section of the Model Hospital for your account.
As part of the agreement to publish data on temporary staffing it has been agreed that all data within distribution charts will be anonymised. This means that unlike in other compartments where you can find a peer trust by hovering over the relevant bar in the distribution this will not be able to be done in this compartment. Instead each value will be referred to as “Provider X”. You will also not be able to use the “My Peers” option to create a bespoke peer group for this compartment as this could potentially allow identification of other trusts in the distribution.
A final security measure that has been implemented is that all charts in the Temporary Staffing compartment will be watermarked with your details including name, e-mail address and the time and date. This ensures that any use of agency data from the Model Hospital beyond its intended audience can be tracked.

Hi for this compartment is this just referencing agency nursing or does it include agency medical costs as well.
It would be great if we could have a breakdown of temporary staff costs by job role e.g. nursing/medical/ahp etc
