Highlight high performing trusts in key areas
It would be really useful to highlight top performing Trusts in key areas, certainly those who are consistent performers. Whilst I appreciate there may be a desire to steer clear of league tables, highlighting success is proven to drive continuous improvement.
A link from these top performers in Model hospital into the appropriate NHSI forum where ideas sharing and best practice could be found would help drive usage of Model Hospital and also help promote exactly where Trusts could go to look for ideas or assistance.

It would be helpful to have a downloadable dashboard in Word. PDF versions do not allow you to copy the tables into internal update reports

Gender pay gap
All NHS organisations have reported the gender pay gap within their organisations. This should be included in the model hospital data.
A non existent or very low gender pay gap shows an organisation is committed to equality and values all staff.
Measuring the gender pay gap against peers or a national target would keep the gender pay gap as a crucial KPI.9 votes -

Could we have comparative data for mental health sections? These used to be submitted as aggregate numbers but which are now available through the MHSDS. Monitoring sections and benchmarking may be an indication of public health mental health needs.

Use of NHS premises/facilities for Private Healthcare
Is there a case for capturing separately the contribution of private healthcare to NHS Trust income e.g. when NHS premises are used to host private treatment?

Site based levels
With many trusts now operating as groups of hospitals it would be useful to have the option to drill into, or select, hospitals at this level. It would benefit all users and help establish a more like-for-like set of benchmarks.

Wording Under 16 admissions to adult MH wards
This is a question coming to me from colleagues accessing model hospital but not working directly with data, so query is can we make wording clearer?
'Numbers of children and young persons admitted to adult mental health facilities' - is the definition
'Mental Health Services Data Set' is the dataset,
IS THIS REFERRING TO OCCUPIED BED DAYS?, AS THE WORDING SEEMS TO INDICATE IT IS ADMISSIONS AS IN DISTINCT PATIENTS.
thanks
