Search bar/table for benchmarking
Combining an advanced search facility within the search bar to easily locate benchmarks would be extremely helpful.
Further to this, it would be beneficial to have an option to setup adhoc templates to utilise commonly used benchmarks for reports.

Enable the download of Model Hospital data to excel at a trust level rather than compartment level
As a Model Hospital ambassador I want to be able to produce a single excel extract of all data for my trust on the Model Hospital as there are now too many compartments to effectively download each individually

Add datalabels to variation charts
It would be useful to be able to have labels underneath variation charts to be able to see the identity of each trust without having to hover over the bars

Allow data to be shown at an STP level as well as trust level
As an STP lead it would be useful to be able to see data for my STP as well as data for my specific trust and to benchmark against other STPs in the country for specific metrics.

Allow trusts to annotate their data
As a user of the Model Hospital I would like to be able to add notes and annotations to the Model Hospital which explain or give further insight to my data.

List of contacts in high-performing trusts
It would be useful to have contact details available for people in key roles in trusts who perform well in specific areas, to make it easier to make contact and share good practice that could help turn the information in the Model Hospital into practical change.

More information about the services trusts deliver
Add a list of trusts providing different services so that I can select trusts who deliver similar services as peers.

Send automatic updates when changes are made
It would be helpful if the system could send out an automatic update when an update is made, rather than users of the system having to check back to see what has been updated. It would also be helpful if areas that have been updated were highlighted in some way when a user signs in to the system.

From now on, we will be emailing all registered users weekly to keep everybody up to date on the latest releases. We are also looking at ways in which we can highlight the most recent updates within the site, but we hope that for now this is a step in the right direction.

Break Model Hospital data down to site level rather than trust level
As a Carter Lead I would like to see data, where possible, broken down to site level rather than trust level to add an additional layer of richness and allow me to identify opportunities that are specific to sites e.g. in estates or workforce

Thanks very much for your suggestion. We agree that this would be a useful development and are currently working on developments that would allow this to be implemented, initially for estates and imaging services. Watch this space!

New peer group - FSM trusts
It would useful to be able to peer against all trusts in financial special measures

Radiology Benchmark
Within radiology would be useful to enter the proportion of examinations performed/reported by different professional groups; consultant radiologists, registrars, reporting radiographers, sonographers, other AHPs (physio, SLT). This could be used as a measure against peers but also cost-effectiveness/efficiencies.

Thank you very much for your idea. We are working on connecting users with Subject Matter Experts including local GIRFT hubs to support users in taking action on the data and information within the Model Hospital. Where you have a question about the data and metrics specifically, you can ask us for more information via the blue ‘?’ on the bottom right hand side of the screen, or by sending us a message at tickets@nhsi.uservoice.com.
Best wishes,

Filter charting by peers/region
In the new Advanced Charting alpha release can we add an additional filter, so that we can only see my peers (e.g. NHSI region, default peers, STPs, etc.)
I can see that we can do this if the 'Colour metric' is selected as Default (Peers) but this additional filter would also enable users to change the colours to SOF or CQC ratings, whilst also only looking at their PEER subset of trusts

Sharps
We as a trust collect data on Sharps incidences (via Datix), however there don't appear to be NHS wide data set with which we can benchmark against. We would like to see how we perform against our peers and there applicable liaise with other Trusts to gain knowledge of good practice. This data set can be easily collected via ERIC under the safety element. (too late for this years ERIC)

Provide the cost per WAU breakdown chart (https://model.nhs.uk/home/opportunity) for each clinical service line component
Provide the cost per WAU breakdown chart (https://model.nhs.uk/home/opportunity) for each clinical service line component. The chart provides a really useful breakdown of how the average WAU across the Trust, really require that per clinical service line.
