During autumn 2018 we made changes to Electronic Staff Record (ESR) FTE data within the Model Hospital, to increase the accuracy of our workforce metrics.
We identified errors in the data where changes in staff assignments during the reporting period led to duplicate entries in the Electronic Staff Record.
The errors were resolved by restricting the contracted FTE for assignments to 1.2 FTE for Medical and Dental staff and 1 FTE for non-Medical staff. We are now in the process of replacing the data.
We have also made changes to the reported employee ‘Status’. In addition to ‘Active assignment’ we now include ‘Acting Up’ and ‘Internal Secondment’ as current employees of an organisation.
